NEW BEGINNINGS: MAKING IT GREAT IN 2008!
As the year 2007 comes to a close and the New Year begins, we should strive to do better than last year. God wants his children to be prepared to elevate and expand their territory. In order to do that we must take inventory of ourselves to find out what we are lacking. There are times when we are looking for God to move on our behalf but he doesn’t, due to the fact that we haven’t fixed what needs fixing. We become complacent and comfortable and we don’t even want to change. We feel that if we change we will be looked upon as soft. When the fact of the matter is standing up for Christ and being obedient makes us courageous. It is the lie from the enemy that convinces us otherwise.
Making it great in 2008 requires us as Christians to make the necessary adjustments that bring glory to the name of the Lord. We are moving into a new chapter in our lives. Chapter ’07 is finished and done. So let’s try to elevate from last year to a new beginning. Let’s elevate our minds…Let’s elevate our hearts and more importantly, let’s elevate our relationship with Christ, so that God can take us to that place in our walk in him that he desires. We must forget what was behind and strain toward what is ahead. Philippians 3:14 states, “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”(KJV)
Try to forget about the disappointing times that were so vivid in 2007 and take on the new attitude of pressing forward toward your goals and aspirations to win the prize.
Make it your priority in this year 2008…… to making it great!
